This project showcases the potential for achieving contemporary elegance and luxury through creatively crafting the characteristics of vernacular architecture and interior design. Spaces are defined by their expansiveness while a warm palette of blushed roses and pale ochres are employed to complement nature’s penetrating greens and variable blues for contrast. At night, a magical ambience of candlelight and subtle illumination waltzes with the waters’ reflections creating enigmatic shadows.

In Rancho La Ola, natural elements are integrated with open spaces to deliver a magnificent home where the details are striking in their comparison to its zen-like structure. Careful crafting of hand-carved floors, intricately designed thatched roofs, hand-woven textiles and perceptively selected objects and artwork take center stage while emanating their ethnic beauty. Details like a weather-worn indigenous canoe, coffee tables shaped like tropical seeds, a stepping stone water-feature which is like crossing an ancient medallion as you enter the property, all convey the rustic-chic poetry of the design concept.
